Step 2: Amenities

In the Step 2: Amenities section, all the necessary information about the property and its layout can be specified. It is possible to adjust the number of rooms, their type and any other information that is relevant, including rules for the future guests and amenities.

After being reviewed, amenities are mapped between Rentals United and the Despegar. However, please note that not all of them can be successfully mapped, as they appear variously for Rentals United and Despegar. In order to learn the details of the mapped amenities, it is possible to request a full summary of mappings. In order to do that, contact the Rentals United Support Team.

Number of bedrooms

Number of bedrooms refers to the overall number of rooms intended to sleep.

If your property is a studio, you should set the number of bedrooms to "0". Despegar will differentiate it from apartments with 1 and more bedrooms.

Number of bathrooms

Number of bathrooms refers to the overall number of bathing rooms with a shower or a bath.

Number of toilets is added to the Number of bathrooms and only the total number will be passed to Despegar. If your set-up is the following:

  • Number of bathrooms: 1

  • Number of toilets: 1

then we will share the overall number of bathroom, that is 2.

Number of toilets

Number of toilets refers to the overall number of WCs.

Number of toilets is added to the Number of bathrooms and only the total number will be passed to Despegar.

Kitchen

Kitchen refers to the separated kitchen area within the property. If you tick the separate kitchen checkbox, then a kitchen room type will be created at your property. In Rentals United it is treated as a room type.

Kitchen will be synchronised with Despegar as an amenity based on the following settings in Rentals United:

  • Kitchen checkbox

  • Kitchen room type

  • Kitchen amenity (101)

Bed types

After being reviewed, bed types are mapped between Rentals United and Despegar. Please, see the below list for details of the bed types mapping:

Bedding composition

Despegar does not allow to distribute beds across the rooms.

It means all beds available at the property will be passed to Despegar, but without the detailed information about their placement in the rooms.

Smoking policy amenities

Smoking amenities are synchronised with Despegar. Follow the rules below to make sure your smoking policies are synchronised as intended.

  • If no smoking or non-smoking amenity is selected, then we will send information that it is not defined.
